‘Irish Blood English Heart’, the first single from Morrissey’s new album, ‘You Are The Quarry’, was released on May 4 in the US and May 10 worldwide. Although he has toured regularly in the US and Europe for the past few years, this is Morrissey’s first new solo material for 7 years.Johnny Marr’s Healers are touring the US and Canada until end May 2004. They released their debut album ‘Boomslang’ in early 2003. He played guitar and did production work on many albums in the 90s and 00s with artists like Pet Shop Boys (including on nine tracks of their new album), The Pretenders, Beck, The The, Beth Orton and in mid-2001, played live with Neil Finn in New Zealand. Marr also worked regularly with Bernard Sumner (form New Order) in the band Electronic, whose biggest hit was ‘Getting Away With It’. |
