Iva Davies, Chistoper Grodon and Richard Tognetti composed the score to the Peter Weir film 'Master and Commander', starring Russell Crowe. A remix album of Icehouse material, 'Meltdown', was released in early November 2002. It's a greatest hits of Icehouse material with contributions from Sonic Animation, Wicked Beat Sound System, Bexta and other luminaries from the Australian dance scene. Now Warner Music has set up a cool mixing desk of ‘Meltdown’ tracks at www.warnermusic.com.au/icehouse/vdj/
Iva Davies remains a very patriotic Australian; his song 'Great Southern Land' gets wheeled out at national events regularly, and ‘Circles In The Sky’ was the theme song for the Olympic Live sites during the celebration of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. |
